QUALITY ASSURANCE

Great Lakes Rubber Company is committed to continuous improvement. Every one of our employees is involved with continuous improvement activities. Our quality manual defines how Great Lakes Rubber implements continuous improvement and ensures the highest quality of service to our customers.

We use a number of quality processes such as, process failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and quality function deployment (QFD) in the development of product quality plans. These processes are used to proactively identify and correct root causes of defects. We use statistical process control (SPC) extensively. Product attribute and variable data are collected both in process and prior to delivery.

Every batch of rubber is tested in our laboratory and a tracking lot number is assigned before molding.
Physical properties are tracked using SPC and a test specimen is saved to aid corrective action. All products that are manufactured have trace-ability to rubber lot number. Quality Assurance reports accompany all shipments and SPC data is available on request.
