Great Lakes Rubber Company was incorporated in 1979 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of MAC Valves Inc. since 1989. We are located in Wixom, Michigan, approximately 50 miles from Detroit.

Great Lakes Rubber is a firm of approximately seventy employees that supports a wide range of services typically found only in larger manufacturers at prices competitive with small, less diverse rubber companies. Our innovative human resource system provides a highly effective cost structure and unlocks the shackles that often burdens employees. Our employees are freed to dedicate their efforts in "taking care of our customers".

Great Lakes Rubber Company, Inc. is a full service, custom rubber molding company. We produce thermoset and thermoplastic parts that are critical to the operation of our customer's end product. This usually requires close tolerances and a guarantee of high quality. We develop custom compounds, mixed in-house, to meet specific product requirements.

We transfer, compression and injection mold a wide range of elastomers. We have extensive experience with silicone, nitrile, neoprene, flouroelastomers, natural rubber, HNBR, urethane and EPDM. We manufacture products as diverse as pneumatic valve seals, static seals for hydraulic systems, non marking rollers and belts, and oil and fuel resistant gaskets.

Our specialties include rubber testing, prototyping, custom mixing, bonding of rubber to other materials and form grinding. We provide short runs with just in time delivery, as well as assembly work for our current customers.
